Steven P. Davison, MD

Dr. Steven Davison is a triple-board certified plastic surgeon devoted to providing patients with the highest level of care and superb results. He has a wealth of experience in various areas of plastic surgery, including aesthetic surgery of the face and breasts, but his passion lies in breast reconstruction. He offers the full spectrum of reconstructive techniques, including microsurgical procedures like the DIEP and TUG flaps and implant-based reconstruction (all of these with links). Through decades of experience, he has developed expertise in revision breast surgery, performed for patients whose prior surgeries delivered unsatisfactory results. With unwavering commitment, vast experience, and exceptional technical skills, Dr. Davison is a leading reconstructive breast surgeon in the Washington, DC area.

Ximena Pinell, MD

Dr. Pinell is a native of the Washington, DC suburbs and takes great pride in caring for patients in this community. She has a special interest in breast reconstruction and was trained in some of the most advanced and innovative techniques at Emory University, where she completed training in both general and plastic surgery.

Dr. Pinell employs various surgical techniques that utilize a woman’s own tissues to recreate the breast (link to DIEP or autologous recon overview page), as well as novel approaches to breast reconstruction using implants, such as the prepectoral (above the pectoralis muscle) technique (link to implant recon page). For women who are candidates for and elect to undergo breast conservation, Dr. Pinell employs a wide variety of oncoplastic techniques that minimize distortion of the breast following lumpectomy (link to partial breast recon page).
